Heart-to-heart
from
the FHCP key persons
|
-
Over 10 years
that we have seen this project progressing
non-stop. A number of organizations have
pitched in with their will to support this
project. The increasing number of children
from tens to hundreds which are now reaching
500 in total including staffs and children
didn't seem to discourage us but on the
other hand even make us work harder to
accommodate the increasing demand, just to
make sure that everyone will receive the
warmth of friendship and understanding. Of
course , the children can enjoy good foods
and fun games and activities they have done
together. But the good memory didn't come by
so easily and once it's there , it's hard to
forget.
The Navy stand guarded to care and protect
us in the sea while we enjoy swimming. The
hands that used to hold guns are now holding
spoons to feed and comfort us. The big
brothers and sisters hold our hands
strolling along the beach helping us build
the sand castles. Lots of small things but
precious things. The memory , friendship and
sincerity are not that much to share to ask
for.

-
With
the intention to develop children's
mental and physical so we settled
"For the Hopeful Children" project.
This project was launched for the
first time on 1st September 1991
with 2 groups of children ; the
first group was children from
Phayathai Orphanage who were
suffered from family or helped from
working in illegal factories and the
second group was physically
handicapped children. We entertained
them with activities, food, snack
and beverage. Besides those
entertainment activities, we also
let them learn how to help each
other and society. The two groups
were proud of their friendship and
utilization. From this beginning we
hope to see those underprivileged
children to have self-confident with
their capability to help themselves
and others.
|
|
|
|
-
Nowadays there
were more and more orphan and handicapped
children because the children have severe
problems in their families , the most
important basic part of society.
Consequently we have to solve their problem
by giving them hope and opportunity of
mental and physical development with our
warm heart. We should treat those children
as they are a part of our family and our
society so they can become good leaders of
their families in the future.
|
|
|
-
To let
the hopeful children have positive
"hope" to live in our competitive
society.
-
To let
the hopeful children believe in
themselves that they can also be a
hopeful to others.
-
To let
the hopeful children percept the
warmth from society as if they were
part of big family.
-
To let
the society aware of the children
that they are less fortunate in
society, learn their problem and
involve themselves in helping and
guiding the less fortunate in any
possible way.

Impression
From the social worker who participate FHCP
|
-
We
have considered ourselves very
fortunate to be able to participate
in For Hopeful Children Project
since the very beginning of the
program , witnessing its progress
all along. Through our eyes , this
program is very respectful and
sincere to our children. It has
given us lots of encouragement to
stand up against all obstacles and
work with dignity us and willing to
give us supports when needed.
-
We are
here together even from different
reasons. You volunteer to be here
and it's our job to be here. That's
not important at all , the smiles
and happiness on the faces of our
children ate the peace at heart of
all of us. The emotional and social
development in a child makes it
obvious that the budget and
investment for this project is not
wasteful. The result is something we
can't measure in monetary terms but
we can use our heart to judge and
feel it right.
-
As the
social worker , we feel we would
like the other less fortunate
children in any corner of the
country to enjoy this same moment
,at least once in their life time.
