January 2007 :
Visit Dejkumtorn - President of
Fund For
Friends (FFF) - and members went to join
the National Children Day 2007 festival and
organized the FFF's VOF-6 project
(The 6th "Visit Our Friends" project 2007)
in Phang-nga province, the south of
Thailand. |
|
VOF's
objective is to let the children, both
normal and unprivileged, have a chance to
visit each others in different areas of
Thailand and enjoyed fun activities together
in order to develop themselves beyond the
better future and society.
In this VOF-6,
FFF took many children and staffs from
Bangkok to visit friends in Phang-nga
province where children were suffered from
the Tsunami disaster few years ago and join
activity in the National Children Day
together there.

I like the National Youth Day’s activities
because it makes me want to share love and
good will to all children in Phang-nga
province. The VOF-6 is set in good location,
good meal and good atmosphere. All staffs
and participating youths are so kind and
fun. |

VOF-6 teaches me to know the meaning of “to
give”. Almost of our life, we always “take”
more than “give”. That makes me love this
project. Vof-6 is filled with love, unity,
sharing, caring and participating. Everyone
feel happy when we work together and know
the real meaning of “to give”. For me, I
feel happy to work hard with the other
staffs, and fun to play and share with the
others. In VOF-6, everyone walk forward
together and never leave others alone
behind. All of my friends are good people.
Especially the 3 young men from Baan
Kanchanapisek. They help me so much and
never blame me in any way.
For the voluntary staffs such as P-Por and
P-June, they are so kind and good in
working, I know them from the FHCP for long
time but never have a chance to talk with
them before. Just the first time in VOF-6.
P-Pook is a good person either. Her face
always seems like angry, but actually she’s
never angry, but always fun.
I’ve learnt many good things from Uncle
Visit who always tell us many interesting
stories. In my opinion, I wish the VOF camp
run harmoniously and fun. And wish I can
join every VOF because I like it so much. |

I’d like to thank to all kind senior for
this impressive activities. I learn that
however we are, rich-poor, normal-disable,
it can not be told whether we’re good
person. But it can be identified by action
of sharing. I will keep my good memory from
VOF-6 as my basic idea to live my life in
quality and “give back” to our society
either. Again...Thanks! |

I’m glad to participate this camp. And
thanks to all voluntary staffs for your
warmed welcome and familiar. National Youth
day activity is so fun because I can
participate all the activities with helping
and sharing. Although I‘m so tired but feel
happy too especially when I see the
children’s smile. It pushes me back to my
childhood good memory. I learn many things
from VOF. Thanks to let me participate it.
And I hope to join VOF every year. |

I’m very glad to join VOF. It’s my first

children’s smiles. It makes me so proud to
make them smiled. Thanks to every one
concerned. |

Ta : Mr. Boonta Wayarun
For me, VOF is a very good project.
Excluding to know new friends, I can learn
about team-work, get more experience and
knowledge such as working together, being
patient , sharing and caring other feeling,
and self-mental rehabilitation. To visit
many interesting and beautiful places
refresh our mind, fill with mercy, calm,
sharing, caring with love to people around
me and the environment. Thanks to Uncle
Visit and all voluntary staffs for let me
participate VOF. May this project still be
forever. |

Ta’ : Mr. Nattapol Saensuk
I’m
very happy with VOF! Thank you very
much to all voluntary staffs that
give a chance for a “no-feather
bird” like me to join and feel
happy. All of VOF activity is used
to be only in my dream. I want to
participate project like VOF for a
long time but have no chance.
Finally my dream comes true! I’d
like the time stands still because I
never feel happy like this before.
In my real life, happiness is only
in dream, unhappiness is real.
Children like me never get warmed
caring from others, always isolate,
no friends, no parent. However I
will do the best for my better
future. And I will keep this good
feeling in VOF with me forever.
Thanks so much to Uncle Visit and
all voluntary staffs. |

VOF-6 provides benefit to 3 main target groups.
First is the participating children who come to join
the National Day Fair 2007. They are happy and fun
and learn how the society cares for them.
Second, the VOF-6 voluntary staffs who come from
different background ; such as normal youths,
unprivileged group or problem youths. When they play
roles of “giving” to other children, they can learn
and feel of happiness, team-work, friendship and
self-esteem.
The third target group is voluntary staffs and
children who used to participate in the For Hopeful
Children Project (FHCP) in Rayong province. They can
have a chance to develop their relationship both
personal and on duty.
Excluding the previous 3 main groups, are the people
and children in VOF-6 camp area who can maintain and
develop their friendship and good understanding
among their societies within a short time.
